Working Stevens dropflap ground signals as used by the Southern Railway S and DJR and others.

I will be doing a video, but here are 2 stills of the modernised of a 4mm scale version.

Later versions of the signal did away with the red glass as there was a danger of it falling out.

A small spectacle plate for red and green aspects was added.

The later version is consequently more difficult and expensive to make, omitting the spectacle plate is possible and adding an extra led so that you have both red and green leds, easier but has the added cost of the LED. The 4mm scale original version of the signal with working light is £43.00, 7mm scale £44.00 the modernised one with red and green lights is £58.00 and £73.00 (red and green LEDs) respectively. If you want a spectacle plate instead, this may be possible but more expesive. Servo motor operation is available at extra cost.

You will need to factor in the small cost of extra switches. Instead of just the single pole switch for the servo motor, you will need to replace it with a double pole switch to operate a relay to switch between the 2 colour modes, To order please contact me accordingly..
