Ex NER Slotted signals

The main part of the posts are to my design and etched by PPD in brass. The slotted parts are from brass etchings from Wizard Models, as are the arms and fittings which were originally sold by D&S Models.

The posts are in 2 halves, soldered together. This facilitates the provision of the wiring for the LED working lights. These are warm white SMD 0603s.

As the posts are hollow, I use a different way of adding the slotted adapters, usinge a short piece of small square brass tube which fits into the post and the plates are then attached to that. It also accommodates the wires for the LED.

The servos are driven by a MERG servo4 using SEMA4 firmware modified by myself.

The lamp bodies are Whitemetal castings from Wizard Models drilled out to accommodate the LED.

Signal arms, spectacles and ladders are Wizard models products again in etched brass, the ladders are however strengthened with wire to give them a more 3D appearance .
